Plus these rail lines contain numerous large grain elevators that range from towering modern facilities to picturesque and ancient wood built relics. The heritage of these shortlines come from cast off pieces of the Minneapolis and St. Louis, Chicago & NorthWestern, Minneapolis Northfield & Southern, and the Milwaukee Road, plus a few of their historic depots still survive. These shortlines operate with plenty of vintage first generation diesel power that still looks and sounds great. The diesel power includes: GP7, GP8, GP9, GP10, SW1500, CF7, GP15CAT, GP30CAT, SD38-2 and SD39. Rail footage era 1993 - 2010.

A very interesting DVD on the Minnesota short lines, first DVD i have purchased specifically aimed at the short line railroads but was enjoyable with lots of old diesel units shown. A lot of narration but it is informative and interesting which i prefer as opposed to not enough. Would defiantly recommend it.
