You will see the 261 as it pulls a portion of the 1998 BNSF Employee Special. This 4-8-4 Northern is also in charge of an Amtrak Special, and a complete Milwaukee Road consist train for the Milwaukee Road Historical Association.
Soo Line #2719 leads a photographers' special on the Wisconsin Great Northern in Spooner, Wisconsin. The train rolls through the western woods in October 2000, when the leaves were vibrant with color!
Sister Soo Line locomotive, #1003 returns to ex-Soo Line tracks on the former Wisconsin Central. We capture the train from Eau Claire to Stevens Point as it heads to Burlington, Wisconsin.
Finally, we see the only operating compound saddle-tank mallet in the United States. The Black Hills Central Railroad in Hill City, South Dakota recently restored this Baldwin to operate the 1880 train. Watch this articulated locomotive negotiate the curves and grades of the beautiful Black Hills!
