A "Head End" ride aboard an Amtrak F40PH diesel engine on the "Lake Shore Limited" winding down along the Hudson River on the former New York Central main line from Albany, N.Y. to Croton-Harmon (part 22-1) where the F40PH is cut off and we board an Amtrak FL-9 diesel-electric (which was trailing behind the F40PH) for the balance of the trip into Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
