Enjoy contemporary mainline diesel railroading in the Ouachita Mountains of Oklahoma and Arkansas as the Kansas City Southern lugs trains over the steep mountain grade of Rich Mountain.
This is big time railroading as you'll follow the KCS on the steepest part of the entire system, with steep grades and lots of curves between Heavener, Oklahoma, and Mena, Arkansas. You'll see a variety of trains, including coal trains, grain trains, and general merchandise. If you enjoy heavy-duty mainline railroading, then this program is for you!
Approx 85 minutes. Color, natural sound. DVD features chapter menus and the ability to turn narration on or off.

Sorry to say I was disappointed with this DVD the quality of the photography narration's and locations don't do the KCS run from Heavener OK to Mena AR any justice and compared to other Railway Production DVD's I have the photo quality is not there. I've railfaned this KCS Sub many times and I'm familiar with most of the locations and best times to photograph it. This DVD is photographed with most shots done at high noon or looking into the sun causing the the sides and front of the trains to be showed sometimes beyond recognition, most locations are ether missed or poorly photographed. This is a good DVD for Railway Production to do over with better coverage. Here's some other KCS DVD's that are well worth the money, Pelts Express just released an excellent KCS DVD with coverage from Kansas City to Mena AR over the Ozarks and Rich Mountain, Penterx has two that are also nice. I look forward to having Railway Production's redo this DVD.

FIRST OFF anything put out by railway productions is on poor quality discs!!!! Aside from shaky camera work to scenes that freeze for the moment and outright streaky blank spots in the picture while watching i give this disc a thumbs down!!!!! It is not the subject matter but the quality of the disc!!! Buy Highball Productions over Rich Mountain much better quality and their blu-ray disc are top notch!!! NEVER buy railway production disc again!!!!
