This DVD is a good start on covering the many shortline and regional railroads of northern Indiana, an area that I've found interesting over the years. Seven roads are shown. There is variety here in color schemes, the locations, street running, motive power, and length of line, along with electrified commuter trains. At least a couple of roads could use their own deeper video time, since there is more to their story than can be covered here among this group. The producer provides interesting narration that helps tell the the stories of each line. A paper map and locomotive roster is included to further explain things.
Additional remarks by Great Lakes Railroader: Narration: Just enough. Would kids enjoy this? Maybe. Image quality: Excellent! DVD Value: Good Value Recommend to others? Definitely.
