It started in 1993. Our producer made a little show for his 3-year old son, Jeffery. The show featured trains animals, funny bloopers, and upbeat music. Jeffery loved it. Jeff's mom said, "If Jeff likes it so much, maybe other kids will, too." So Jeff's mom and dad took it to a trade show in La Vegas. It was the hit of the show. Order poured in from Blockbusters, Toys-R-Us, libraries, and from parents all over the country.
Fifteen years later, this popular 14-part series has sold over three million copies and received rave reviews from the national media, librarians, and pareting magazines. Each award-winning show features real and toy train action, the toe-tapping music of award-winning singer/songwriter James Coffey, and a sweet spirit that appeals to young and old. Kids learn, laugh, and want more.
Parts 1 through 12 plus the Final Show all packaged in an attractive, 5-DVD set box. Almost 7 hours of great train action, music, and fun. Makes an impressive gift and you save money.
If purchased separately: $74.75

If you have an autistic child like mine who loves trains, these are perfect. He will watch them for hours, and hes learning new terms and a lot more about trains. Thanks so much for making these available on dvd, we were only watching clips on you tube before we discovered the whole set :)

Nearly 25 years ago, part 1 of this video was shown in a Las Vegas Video Convention in 1993, and Over the years, Many parents love McComas' popular videos from Lionel History and layouts to create an ultimate kid-friendly video series. Yes there are some dubbed sounds over the Lionel trains and real trains, and yes the oh no bloopers are what makes this special, and Yes I'm giving this a huge recommendation to both kids from Newborn to all ages and give it a watch more often rather than Sesame Street's Quarter of a billion Viewed episodes of Elmo's World on Youtube. Not to mention that majority of the series minus parts 6-12 have always been overhauled every year with new scenes, new sound effects, and new songs by James Coffey as well.
