This program features Amtrak and Metra action at Union Station in Chicago, IL from the Roosevelt Rd. overpass. Although this program looks impressive with the many trains that go into and out of the station, there were several things I found absolutely disappointing. The lack of time stamps for each train that goes by as well as no on-screen graphics makes identifying the trains almost impossible, if not difficult, particularly the many Amtrak trains as well as Metra trains that radiate from the station. Furthermore, as with most of the Hot Spots series, there is extremely informative but very little narration in the beginning and then the trains do the talking for the rest of the program.
Additional comments:
Narration: Could have used more.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Excellent!
Value: Overpriced.
Recommend? Only if really interested.

Roosevelt Road, Chicago... a great video for anyone who loves a parade of commuter/passenger trains. However.... it does not take long to get bored and end up having a nap. Picture yourself as a rail fan standing in one spot for over 1 & 1/2 hours watching the same thing. The trains are nearly all the same... there is very little variety. Narration is poor, and no screen graphics to help anyone not familiar with the location. If I had purchased this video as my 1st hot spot video by this producer, it would have been my last hot spot video.
