We had a delightful couple of days on KCS's fourth sub of the Gulf division. This is the north-south main line on the Arkansas-Oklahoma border over Rich Mountain. 6 axle power is the rule here, we saw SD40-2's, SD45's SD4OT-2's and SDSO's, plus some BN and Oakway run-through power on coal trains, all working hard on the grade. The tunnel motors really look spiffy in their nice new gray, red and yellow paint, and we caught several leading.

Rich Mountain.... a high point on the KCS line crossing from Arkansas into Oklahoma. A big challenge for the railroad. Lots of interesting power lash-ups including some BNSF's. It was nice to see the old tunnel motors at work. Great video.
