This colorful program presents a wide variety of marine traffic in New York Harbor, ranging from huge ocean liners to tugboats, filmed from around 1940 to the late 1960s.

Among the great liners depicted are the Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary, United States, Liberte, Independence, Queen of Bermuda, Parthia, Caronia, Brittanic, and Mauretania.

Railroad ferries include: Lackawanna Pocono, Elmira, Binghamton, Maplewood, Scranton and Lackawanna; NYC Utica, Niagara; CNJ Red Bank, Somerville; and Erie Youngstown, Meadville, and Arlington.

There are interesting sequences featuring New York Central tugboat and carfloat operations, and a rare short describing tugboats in New York harbor, with special emphasis on the docking of the famous superliner United States. Also included is the visit of an armada of Tall Ships to New York Harbor in 1986 to celebrate the Satute of Liberty Centennial and a visit of the battleship Iowa.
