Norfolk Southern and CSX are the "big two" eastern railroads in the United States. Join videographer Chris Wehman for this multi-part series covering action from these two railroads at a variety of locations throughout their respective systems.

In part one of this program, we'll take a look at NS and CSX operations in Illinois and Indiana. We'll start with a look at the CSX St. Louis Line Subdivision east of St. Louis as well as in Terre Haute, Indiana. Then, we'll head up to Muncie, Indiana and catch both NS and CSX action around town.

Next, we'll head up to the CSX Garrett Sub in northeast Indiana before finishing the program viewing Norfolk Southern's former Wabash mainline near Fort Wayne, Indiana. We'll catch trains in all seasons, with all types of modern locomotives from several different railroads, including a train or two from Amtrak, BNSF and NKP 765 excursion Runs.
