EMD locomotives once dominated the rails up until GE's GEVOs became the locomotive of choice for class ones and some regional railroads in the United States. Since then, many of the older EMDs have been either purchased by regionals and shortlines or retired and scrapped. In this series, C. Vision Productions travels across the US to capture many of these classic locomotives still working on the rails today.
In Volume three, SD45s are seen working on the Dakota, Missouri Valley & Western in North Dakota. Further south, the KYLE Railroad provides us with some great action in Kansas using former SP SD40T-2s and SD45T-2s. Another railroad using these tunnel motors is the Missouri & Northern Arkansas, which we see operating on former Missouri Pacific trackage. In the High Plains of western Nebraska and eastern Colorado is the Nebraska, Kansas & Colorado Railway using a variety of second generation EMDs. Finally, the Sisseton Milbank Railroad in northeastern South Dakota shows off their rebuilt EMD SSB1200 locomotive moving grain cars across the former Milwaukee Road Sisseton branch. This fascinating series brings you the best of the EMDs on railroads that are both well-known and unique hidden gems. Don't miss this great series from C. Vision covering EMDs Across America!
