EMD locomotives once dominated the rails up until GE's GEVOs became the locomotive of choice for class ones and some regional railroads in the United States. Since then, many of the older EMDs have been either purchased by regionals and shortlines or retired and scrapped. In this series, C. Vision Productions travels across the US to capture many of these classic locomotives still working on the rails today.
In Volume one, we will see the last of the standard cab EMDs on the Montana Rail Link. Staying in Montana, we get to see the Central Montana Railroad using GP9s and rebuilt GP30s. In Colorado, a portion of the ex-Tennessee Pass line is still used by shortline Rock & Rail. Our crew then heads to the states of Idaho and Washington to show you the St. Maries River Railroad and the Columbia Basin Railroad. We finish In the Mojave Desert in California where we see the Trona Railway using EMD and Baldwin diesels. This fascinating series brings you the best of the EMDs on railroads that are both well-known and unique hidden gems. Don't miss this great series from C. Vision covering EMDs Across America!
