Denver and Rio Grande Western, Volume 2 1989

Also featuring the Santa Fe and Burlington Northern on the Joint Line

From the high plains of Colorado's Front Range to the peaks and passes through the Rocky Mountains, the high iron of the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad traversed some of the most scenic areas of the United States. In this presentation, videographer Bob Rivard takes his first generation video equipment along on a journey in 1989 to view a portion of the D&RGW's system. Included in this volume are more trains on the line from Denver to Glenwood springs and the northern portion of Tennessee Pass. Also Bob follows the famous Joint Line on Colorado's Front Range south of Denver.

Tunnel Motor SD40T-2's, SD-50's and GP locomotives take care of long heavy trains up stiff grades and winding through tight canyons on the Moffat and Tennessee Pass lines. Then you will enjoy the action on the Joint Line with Fallen Flag's Santa Fe and Burlington Northern trains joining operations with the Rio Grande! Locations highlighted are Tennessee Pass Tunnel, Belden, Minturn, Glenwood Canyon, Palmer Lake, Castle Rock and Larkspur.

Don't miss the action that this fallen flag was known for, which was moving heavy freight over the high mountain passes and along the Front Range in Colorado. This is the Denver and Rio Grande Western!!!
