watched this last night and once again was another excellent video c&ts 50th anniversary freights looks at two 50th anniversary frights that took place on the cumbres & toltec senic railroad the first would take place in august of 2018 hosted by trains magazine on to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the last fright trains over cumbres pass in august of 1968 the event featured k-36 mikado's 488 disguised as 483 which the real 483 has been retired since 1977 and 484 the train would leave chama heading for cumbres pass 483 would led the train up the 4% grade with 484 pushing on the rear on august 25th than the 26th would see both locomotives running a doubleheader from antonito to cumbres <br><br>the second special fright would take place on october 24th and 25th after a snowstorm hit after the regular season ended this special fright would celebrate the 50th anniversary of the toltec rattler which was the frist phot special on the c&ts in 1972 running from chama to big horn engine 484 would be the star of the special putting on a fantastic show for this event <br><br>the last segment of the video includes bonus footage from 2018 with 484 on the sunset dinner train <br><br>this is an a+ video showing both the 50th anniversary of the last fright trains over cumbres pass in the rio grande narrow guage days and the toltec ratler when the c&ts started to become one of the most popular train rides in the us this is a video you should not miss out on highly recommended
