Long Island railfan Tim Hosey had been drawn to the scenic former PRR Middle Division many times during the Conrail years, and decided to return to document this farewell tribute. Locations range from just west of Harrisburg to Gallitzin, including scenic spots such as Mexico, PA, in the shadow of Tuscarora Mountain. 45 trains are viewed, ranging from fast moving TrailVan, Manifest, a welded rail run, coal, Triple Crown and Amtrak. Complete consists are viewed on most of the faster-moving trains, with commentary on motive power and train origins and destinations. As you watch this "Ode to Conrail", you will note significant changes in the quarter century since demise of "Big Blue".
