Frank Sinatra
In 1995, Frank Sinatra sold his Rancho Mirage, California compound to Canadian businessman Jim Pattison. Mr. Pattison kept the Sinatra estate just as "Mr. S" left it, including the full-size train depot that holds the collection of Lionel trains. TM was granted exclusive rights to film the layout in July 2002.

The layout is reminiscent of Lionel's legendary 1949 showroom layout. Mr. Sinatra duplicated the famous two-level station scene and also has a dog bone-shaped upper level. The action includes trains from all three eras of Lionel production plus the museum-quality setting of the room.

Tom Snyder
Tom Snyder has the only multi-level, scale-detailed Standard gauge layout we have ever seen, and it's gorgeous. Never before have classics like the Stephen Girard passenger set, Ives Olympian, and Lionel 400E cavorted about in such realistic scenery - mountains, lakes, tunnels and trees.

Accessories include the 840 Power Station, Hellgate Bridge, 112 City Station and Terrace Platform, and a motorized turntable. Even two loops of the Lionel Race Cars are seen on the mountain.

Includes interviews with Mr. Snyder and layout builder John Kitterman.

Mandy Patinkin
For Mandy, the affection for Lionel trains started early, and never really faded away, despite embarking on a highly successful singing and acting career. He wanted a layout that would capture parts of his family's life, and that's exactly what he has created (with help from layout designer Rich Roman). The large, scale-detailed layout features a freight yard, two mountains, and exquisite animated carnival, operating ski lift, scale structures, and parallel mainlines with sweeping curves. Mandy operates a mix of the best Postwar and Modern Era Lionel trains, all controlled electronically.

Includes interviews with Mr. Patinkin and layout builder Rich Roman.

Total running time: 130 minutes.

I've seen these episode on tv and I never get bored from watching them over and over again. It's nice to have them in my library to watch anytime I want. I recommend these videos to anyone who likes to watch trains. I may be 62 years old but I'll stay young forever with these and other videos like it.

In this Boxset, Volume 1 was one of the very first TM DVDs ever made. However despite Sinatra died nearly 20 years ago in 1998, it does however show the whole version of franks favorite: the 1949 showroom layout. Plus special historical details of franks life, as well as postwar and modern era passenger layout made by Lionel. There are also still images of the trains that frank bought over the years. Today his layout is 36 years old but hey, 36 is a better age than 69 eh?

In Volume 2, it features some clips from Snyder's 1993 CNBC special which the full version without dubbed narration can be found on the toy train revue volume 9 videotape. Eventually Snyder died some years later after this video was made. Today his standard gauge layout and collection is now at its new home and also at a new museum. Some commentary by John Kitterman is also included. Now if only TMBV would release the 1993 CNBC segment on either a future DVD, or at their official YouTube channel.

Finally in Volume 3, Unlike the previous 2 DVDs, the main menu however, was an interesting one, when you chose the one you want on this disc, it'll have some audio recordings from Lionel's new station sounds system. This notable Sesame Street Elmo in Grouchland star shows his family life on how his trains deal with his life. Eventually, he is not only a Sesame Street Guest star, but he is also a Lionel train collector too. Especially the New York Central GP9 which I however own. Aren't I lucky to own a piece of Hollywood memorabilia?

All in all, Would I recommend this Boxset to Lionel fans, Pre-Present Century Hollywood Fans, and of course TM Collectors Eveywhere? One word: Absolutely. Plus all of these have Closed-Captioned Subtitles on Screen, Despite They're sometimes Out of sync.
