We bought this Blu-Ray for my 3 year old son who is a train NUT. It's two hours long with plenty of footage to keep it interesting for many viewings. There's a lot of train lingo in the narration, some of which you can figure out and some of which you WISH you could understand (a more educational narration on these vids would be fantastic! Even an optional narration track). The Blu-Ray video quality is outstanding. There's a nice variation of trains. The scenery is fabulous. We never mind popping this disc in; we enjoy it as much as our son does.

First off if you are a railfan you know all about Cajon Pass !! I want to start by saying anything 7idea productions has done is outstanding!! They bring a fresh idea to their dvds, it tells a story about the places they visit and they definitely do their homework and the camera work is sharp and the locations they film bring a fresh approach to popular locations and some new ones!!Trains, Scenery, and good clear filming in high def and bluray make this the best Cajon Pass dvd I have seen to date!!!! 5 stars, 7idea keep up the excellent values that you put in to your dvds and keep them coming!!!!

I have bought all of 7ideas Productions DVD's but their latest of Cajon Pass was a disappointment. It could've been a lot longer, have a lot more detail with it, could've been a 2 disc set like their Cascade Subdivision. There was nothing about the new cross-overs at Chard Walker and the viewing of trains there, it would've been great to see trains using the cross-overs at Silverwood, to and from the Palmdale Cut-off. And only seeing one train at the fly-over at Frost was another disappointment. I'm sorry 7idea Productions but you stuffed up on this one. I hope you don't make a bigger balls up with Tehachapi Pass.

I echo the previous reviewer's thoughts. I own all of 7idea Productions Blu-ray DVDs and love all of them. There is not a bad one in the bunch and this Cajon Pass Blu-ray DVD is just as amazing. I whole heartily recommend this and all of their DVDs to anyone with even the slightest interest in rail fanning or train videos...you will not be disappointed!

Another great video of modern Southern California railroading! 7idea productions is to me in the top 3 railroad video companies. Cajon pass is a great area for railroading and this video shows you why. Highly recommended video as well as Tehachapi, Feather River, Donner and Shasta videos produced by this company.

I,ve been to the area and like the fact that it is nice and compact for viewing the train movements.There are three great locations that are easily available for viewing and a motel is right in the heart of the location for long stays.The video does a great job of covering the whole area as does most videos of this location. If you are planning a trip to this location, this video will show you what to expect to see. If you watch from the Blue-Cut crossing you may even see train races up the hill,coming at you.

This Bluray far surpasses my large collection of DVDs on Cajon. 7idea bring a fresh look at an already well known subject, not an easy task. 7idea are the benchmark quality in modern train documentary feature movies. Fantastic work.
