CSXT and the Norfolk Southern - The Big Sandy DVD
The Big Sandy River breaks away from the Ohio River where the boarders of Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky meet. Roughly paralleling the banks of the river for 26 miles is Norfolk Southern's Pocahontas Division mainline on the east (West Virginia) side and CSXT's Big Sandy Subdivision on the west (Kentucky) side.
The NS operates a variety of trains, with coal being the major player. CSXT's Big Sandy sub is a busy coal route tapping reserves from Southern Kentucky mines and delivering to the power plants in the north and midwest.
In this program we explore both lines as far south as Fort Gay, WV on the Norfolk Southern and Louisa, KY on CSXT.
This program was dis-continued on VHS several years ago. BKVP is happy to return it as a completely re-edited & digitally re-mastered DVD, with chapter menus, and additional footage.
