big steam is back is a 90 minute video based on the 100 page magazine by trains magazine (i like that magazine a lot and i really liked the video) in this program there's a look into all of the stars of the main line and the current restorations going on for the steam stars there's interviews with the groups of the usa's notable steam locomotives norfolk & western 611 southern 4501 milwaukee road 261 nickel plate road 765 pere marquette 1225 union pacific 844 southern pacific 4449 Spokane Portland & Seattle 700 santa fe 3751 as well as western Maryland sinec railroad 734 and reading & northern 425 today's restorations include santa fe 2926 c&o 1309 plus c&o 2716 nc&stl 576 reading 2102 and the anticipated one of them all union pacific big boy 4014 (and a mention that union pacific 3985 will return after the restoration of the 4014) the only downfall i have is that i wish other steam engines were mentioned even some that weren't talked about like soo line 1003 grand canyon railway 4960 and 29 a talk about southern 630 plus the biggest one i thought the strasburg railroad with great western railway 90 norfolk & western 475 and Canadian national 89 plus the restoration on reading 2100 (which was in the magazine) but that's the only downfall i know they couldn't include every steam engine in the united states but overall a vary solid video i'm happy to own

Which includes black hills central 110, Iowa interstate 6988 & 7081, southern 630 and 4501, nickel plate 765, Milwaukee road 261, Spokane Portland and Seattle 700, santa fe 3751, lake superior and ishpeming 734 on the western Maryland scenic, the leviathan on the steam into history railroad, pere Marquette 1225, Norfolk and western 611, the union pacific big boys and other surviving displays, plus archival stills of scrapped engines, union pacific 844, Texas & pacific 610, southern pacific daylight 4449, Norfolk and western 1218, Frisco 1522, Nashville Chattanooga and st Louis 576, Chesapeake & Ohio 1309, gulf mobile and northern 425 on the reading and northern, reading 2102, Chesapeake and Ohio 2716, and many other notable survivors. Interviews with the crews are also included as well.
