In the railway productions version of the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 Revival, There is a historic segment on all 25 of these giants using clips from Big Boy 4014 Update in 2014, and the Union Pacific Big Boy Collection from 2001 by Pentrex. In addition, there is a great variety of Doubleheading action from Cheyenne west to Ogden for the participation of the Nose to Nose Ceremony hosted by Union Pacific President Lance Fritz, as well as the eastbound journey home to Cheyenne. Not to Mention a side trip to the Golden spike National Historic Site with 1979 Replicas of Central Pacific #60 the Jupiter & Union Pacific 119. The title fonts in this program look almost identical to the ones used on the Recently Turned 50 year old Children�s Show Sesame Street from 1970 in Season 2, to the early 2000�s (Probably 2003). Of course like 611 on Home Rails & Steam Railroading in the North Country from Last year, There Are a couple of Songs from America By rail (Mostly Route of the Southwest Chief from 1997) which is courtesy of the Late Mike Lynch. One being the Abilene Kansas portion for the History of the Big boys, One for the Lamy to Albuquerque Portion (sadly Shortened) for the map of the 4014 & 844 doubleheader, and also the main menu, plus one western piano type from Colorado�s Scenic Train Rides in 2000 (Durango & Silverton, Georgetown Loop, & Cripple Creek & Victor) for the Promontory Segment. Some of Jarrett�s scenes were also shown in the Pentrex Version of the Big Boy 4014 Revival. Overall, Great action from Les� angles, but in my opinion, it would�ve been nice if there was a little more of Lynch�s songs in this program.

i bought this a while back and been meaning to watch it and i finailly did before christmas of 2019 and this was another excellent video by railway productions big boy 4014 return to the mainline looks at the big railroad event of the 2019 the return of union pacific big boy 4014 which many thought a big boy would never operate again until now this program covers much of the 4014's first operation during it's inaugural run first there's the engines first test run on the up mainline than the focus is on the great race to odgen utah to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the driving of the golden spike completing the original transcontinental railroad the special train would have the 4014 double heading with northern 844 as they travel across Sherman hill and the Wasatch mountains than there's footage of both the 844 and the 4014 facing each other making a modern reenactment of the golden spike in odgen in edition to the 4014 and the 844 there's also a vist to the golden spike national historic site to reenact the moment with both central pacific jupiter and union pacific 119 and than there's the return trip home for the 4014 and the 844 while there are lots of videos on the 4014 i kind of felt a little overwhelmed of which ones to pick so i picked this one (for 2 hours is not a bad buy) a few others i also have include the one by 7idea productions the one by trains magazine and the recently 3 vol set year of the big boy from steam train videos (which i just got done watching and those were also outstanding) (i also thought about the one from c vision productions has that covers the 4014's trip in the midwest) i'd say i enjoyed this one as much as the norfolk & western 611 on home rails and the milwaukee road 261 steam in the north videos also by railway productions (i'd say this would be in the top 3) this is defiantly worth every penny for the length and great steam action of the now largest operating steam engine in the world
