It is the first year for operations on the BNSF, but the Santa Fe personality and paint is still dominant on the BNSF Chillicothe Sub, the former Santa Fe Chillicothe Sub. 90% of the power is still Santa Fe, with an occasional Burlington Northern engine thrown in the mix.

This is Volume One of a two volume series. Volume One shows us the subdivision East of Chillicothe to Chicago. Locations include Corwith, Chillicothe, McCook, Argo, Willow Springs, Joliet, Streator, Ancona, Toluca, Burr Ridge and Lemont.
