The best airport I've seen from a shooters (and a watcher's) point of view, with no fences, just canals, and the heavies plopping down right in front of you. Loads of KLM B747/MD-11/B767 action, lots of landings and takeoffs, some sunset and evening shots, some heavies landing after rain (nice spray) and some quite strange stuff, including a Lebanese B707. One of the nicest airport programs I've done, just tons of action.

In Amsterdam Schiphol 2001 that was originally made in 2002, A visit to Amsterdam in the Netherlands was made in August of 2001 (less than a month before we know what happened that made history in the 21st century) as there are lots & lots of Airplanes heading to & from the countries of Ireland, South Africa, Poland, Japan, Spain, Norway, Germany, Great Britian, Portugal, Israel, China, Switzerland, Hungary, Turkey, Brazil, Kenya, Pakistan, Yugoslavia, Iran, Singapore, Tunisia, Lebanon, Uganda, Austria, Morocco, India, Jordan, Belgium, Canada, America, Lithuania, & the Netherlands itself with the Dutch Bird, & KLM Airlines for example.

On several scenes when the planes are landing and/or taking off, a child is making noises off-screen due to the very loud noises these machines make but all in all, Peter Crooke did an amazing job narrating this program.
