Southern Pacific 4449 had the honor of pulling the 1975 American Freedom Train on part of its East Coast tour. This is a look at the train as it ran from Alexandria, Virginia to Miami, Florida. The American Freedom Train (AFT) celebrated the nation's Bicentennial as it reached crowds the 48 contiguous states in 1975 and 1976.You'll see the train, ride on the observation car, see some of the displays and be there for numerous runbys and moves in both daylight and nighttime hours.
