Along the CSX Selkirk Branch Click to enlargeNote: Cover image may differ from actual product The CSX Selkirk Branch is a 41 mile stretch of railroad that cuts away from the Chicago line near Rotterdam, NY, and climbs out of the Mohawk Valley to reach the immense Selkirk Yard. From the yard, lines continue to reach Boston, New York City and New Jersey. Along the route are plenty of great vantage points to watch the trains. Overpasses closed to motor vehicles, giant bridges and grade crossings are just some of the highlights. Freight traffic is heavier than any other place in the region. CSX trains are often pulled with an exciting mixture of foreign and leased power! This program captures all the action at various locations along The CSX Selkirk Branch. |
