The entire program consists of scenes shot by Gordon Sandstrom on 8mm film between 1958 and 1974. Many different types of diesels are featured plus a short section featuring steam at Dallas Union Terminal on 2-15-61. Both freight and passenger trains of the following railroads are see: SCL, FEC, Erie, Lackawanna, Burlington, UP, NP, CB&Q, Frisco, Milwaukee Road, PC, PRR, NYC, C&O, B&O, GM&O, L&N, GTW, SP, IC, Rio Grande, C&WI, and NKP. Authentic sound tracks were added to the entire program in 2014.
