The segments shown in order with the 1812 overture in the opening credits are: 8444 on Sherman Hill from Denver Colorado to Laramie Wyoming with a passenger train in the rain on the Greeley Subdivision (take note that there are dubbed sounds in this silent film) that also includes helicopter angles from the sky, pacing from the car, & a northbound return trip to Cheyenne from Denver on May 31st, 1970 (with one of the brand new Burlington Northern cascade green painted Boxcars on a siding at La Salle Colorado), Not to mention meeting with some freight trains at Hermosa Tunnel, & some mentions of southern 4501, challenger 3985, & southern pacific daylight 4449, And A montage of 8444 on freight trains during the diesel years while operating from Green River & Rawlins Wyoming to Boise Idaho, as the 1944 Alco built northern Helps out a Quartet of GP30s, & also Runs Light in a few scenes, then operated a 5 unit freight from Cheyenne to Rawlins with a mix of U-Boats in the consist, plus another freight train with 3 GP-30s to Idaho, & another with only 2 diesels that has an observation car in the consist.
