This as good as railroading videos get. This two-DVD set has some spectacular footage taken from inside the cabs of scores of locomotives, some of which are the oddest-looking beasts on two tracks. There are superb vistas, shots of the people who work inside the cabs -- even an unusual scene of a tornado tearing a train apart while the photographer let the camera run. This is a bountiful set of DVDs, well photographed and narrated.

In this 2013 2 disc set, there are a ton of incredible steam diesels and electrics both in America and the world. Most of these segments are taken from the Railroad video Quarterly magazines, while some others are taken from other producers such as at the throttle from pentrex, UP 844 & 3985 from steam on the double by Valhalla, and Amtrakï¿½s AEM7 from Steve Neff. While this 2 disc set contains cab rides, there are plenty of trackside Footages. The American steam engines in this 2 disc set includes, Nevada Northern 4-6-0 #40 doubleheading with 2-8-0 #93 and also making a side by side runby, Lake Superior & Ishpeming 2-8-0 #734 on the Western Maryland scenic railroad during a winter special in 2001 at brush tunnel, Southern Pacific 2248 the tarantula celebrating its 100th birthday in 1996, Nickel plate road 765 as Chesapeake and Ohio 2765 in 1993, mount Washington cog railway locomotives 3 and 9 in New Hampshire during 2004, cass Scenic Railroad shays 2 and 11 in 2000, CN 1551 and CP 1293 doubleheading on the Ohio Central In 1998, Lake Superior & Ishpeming 18 at Coloradoï¿½s La Veta Pass In 2010, and white pass and Yukon 73 in Alaska during 2005. There are also some early diesels in America as well.
