C. Vision Productions continues its look at Minnesota's main lines and visits the BNSF's Wayzata Sub. Often referred to as The Willmar Line, the Wayzata Sub covers 90 miles of territory from Minneapolis to Willmar.
This ex-Great Northern route runs through many different types of landscapes. From major metropolitan areas of the Twin Cities, to the rolling prairies and farm lands in central Minnesota, journey along as our cameras catch the action of freight, coal and grain trains. You'll even see spectacular motive power from other railroads including CSX, Kansas City Southern and Chicago and North Western just to name a few. Several BNSF models also take charge of trains. You won't believe your eyes when you see many trains led with SD-9's! BNSF brought out these old warriors in the summer of 2003 to operate the Willmar to Northtown freights.
