Volume 1 of Vignettes of the DETROIT, TOLEDO AND IRONTON covers the DT&I during the roads final 25 years, at locations including Detroit, Delta, Leipsic, Lima, Quincy, Springfield, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Jackson. The companys motto was ...We Have the Connections!...and this program has them as well, including the Penn Central and Erie Lackawanna in Lima, PC and Conrail in Quincy, and the Louisville and Nashville at Decoursey. Highlights also include a 1957 cab ride over the south end between Jackson and Springfield, surprising film of Bicentennial unit 1776, and a brief look at second-cousins Ann Arbor and Michigan Interstate. 80 Minutes, color with audio and maps-narration, DVD-R format.
