New England's newest. We chased the southbound job south out of Palmer the weekend after startup, in February 1995, then again a couple of weeks later in some fairly brisk weather. We chased the northbound job out of Brattleboro in December and January, the latter being somewhat frigid at 20 below, but it made for some excellent photographic conditions. NEC's blue and orange units look great in the snow, and there are some earlier scenes of CV to show how it was. |
