Throughout the United States, railroading is colorful and exciting, with the Midwest being no exception. C. Vision Productions continues its look at great railroad action within this diverse region in "Trains Across the Midwest, Volume 7".
In this installment, we will view trains operating through four states. First, we travel to Kansas to view operations on the Kyle Railroad. We were on the hunt for the road's former Southern Pacific SD45T-2s, and were rewarded on several occasions. The deep bass and growl of these units is something to behold! Next, we drop down to BNSF's La Junta Sub in western Kansas and eastern Colorado to see a few trains bouncing across the plains over the route's increasingly rough jointed rail. We then travel to the Iron Range of northeastern Minnesota to view DM&IR, CN, Cliffs Erie's former LTV operation, and BNSF trains during several beautiful fall days during the years of 2004 and 2010.
