Pentrex takes you on a 2 hour and 30 minute railroading tour across the great state of Arizona. Its FAR more than wide open deserts! Inside its nearly 114,000 square miles, there are many mountains, National Parks, Canyons, and plateaus, giving Americas 48th state a wide variety of scenic areas to choose from. To the north, the busy BNSF Transcon cuts across offering many choice locations for photographers. To the south, Union Pacifics Sunset Route offers even more scenic photo angles in this typically hotter and drier region. We traveled throughout the state in search of some of the best trains in some of the greatest photo locations around. Along with all the heavy duty freight action, we caught many shortlines in operation along with a pair of tourist lines. The isolated and electrified Black Mesa & Lake Powell Railroad is also represented in our exciting show.
