Review of Canadian Pacific 2816 Final Spike Tour Vol 3 Home Across the Praries DVD

FINAL SPIKE TOUR<br><br>VOLUME 3 - Home Across the Prairies<br><br>On April 26. 2024 Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 #2816 embarked on a monumental two and a half month trip - from Calgary to Mexico City and back - after Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern merged to form CPKC. In order to celebrate the new 3-nation railroad, #2816 led the Final Spike Tour across the Canadian prairies, south through the central part of the United States, and finally into Mexico. The locomotive was restored to operation specifically for this trip - an unprecedented 8,000-mile adventure across the North American continent.<br><br>This program chronicles the last leg of the Final Spike Tour in July, as "The Empress" traveled from Davenport Iowa back to CPKC headquarters in Calgary Alberta. On July 1st. #2816 left Davenport running north along the Mississippi River to Minneapolis. In your opinion, how was the narration level?	There was no narration. Just enough. Could have used more. A little too much. Way too much. Narration can be turned off.
Aside from the content of the DVD, how would you rate the image quality (sharpness, camera steadiness, etc)?	Poor. A little rough around the edges. Good. Excellent!
How would you rate the VALUE of this video?	Overpriced for the amount of enjoyment I got out of it. Seemed a little high, but not too bad. Fair. Good value. Excellent value!
Last question. Would you recommend this DVD to others?	Definitely not! Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter. Yes Definitely. A "Must Have"!
