We visited this unique little railway in the Spring of 2011, when the rapeseed was in full bloom. The railway is the lifeline of the villages it serves, with little road access, virtually everything must travel by train. Chinese tourists from Chengdu flock to the area at weekends, and many tourist trains run, with all serviceable C2 0-8-0's operating. Along with the regular passenger trains and coal trains this can make the railway very busy. We'll also see the lower section of the line, with little electrics on coal trains, visit the workshops and take a ride on the train.
