Review of Texas & Pacific 610 Part 1 The 1976 American Freedom Train Trips DVD

Shot on rare Super 8mm with sound film. This DVD features T&P 2-10-4 #610 during her operations in Texas in January and February 1976. See her first steps at the Fort Worth Stock Yards, her break-in run up the FW&D to and from Wichita Falls where she once again pulled freight. Then we watch her and SP #4449 side by side at Austin where the 610 officially took charge of the American Freedom Train. Now pulling the Freedom Train we chase her between Austin and Houston via the MoPac on February 18th, 1976 and then between Houston, Temple and Fort Worth via the Santa Fe on February 25th. Also includes Bicentennial diesels on the Missouri Pacific, Santa Fe and the Houston Belt & Terminal.
