Review of Santa Fe in the 1980s DVD

 3.5 of 5 (2)
The Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe's main line from Chicago to Los Angeles is one of America's major rail arteries. Photographer Fred Crissey captures action on the Santa Fe from 1982 to 1988 showcasing this classic railroad's operations through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. Spectacular scenery is also shown through the rugged and scenic Raton Pass.
Locomotives include GE U Boats, GP-20's, SD-40 dash 2's, SD-45's and FP-45's in their classic blue and yellow scheme. Also included are engines painted with the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific failed merger colors. Nearly all trains in this show include cabooses!
Awesome scenery from the plains of the Midwest to the Desert Southwest is what made the Santa Fe a railfan's favorite! Don't miss the Santa Fe in the 1980's!
