Review of Erie-Lackawanna Legacy - Over 5 Hours - 3 Disc DVD

2 Shows, 3 Discs, 5 Hours!

This is a "Combo" worthy of the name! Here are two complete shows: "Erie-Lackawanna Legacy" and "Erie-Lackawanna Legacy Update". Together the bring you a picture of the Erie-Lackawanna system afte the demise of the EL. The impetus for the first "Legacy" was a yeay - 1996. That was exactly 20 years after the EL's inclusion into the new Federal railroad of the northeast - Conrail.

So, Disc 1 of our 5 hour tour is a survey of the entire line, East to West, 20 years after the EL vanished from the railroad scene. Disc 2 is one half of the EL, the Lackawanna Railroad (DL&W), with a mainline survey from Hoboken to Buffalo, plus various branch lines. Disc 3 throws us back into "EL update mode" with a 1 hour plus look at the EL legacy in 1999. Both of these shows have been updated to 2016 - the 40th anniversary of the Erie-Lackawanna's inclusion into the new Conrail system.
