Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac - after CSX

The Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac was chartered in 1834. It was to run between the Civil War capitols of the South and North. The railroad evolved into a bridge line connecting southern lines, such as the ACL, SAL and C&O, with the major carriers in the north, such as Pennsy and the B&O. The RF&P was absorbed by CSX in 1991. Chester Kamuda spent much time along the 113 mile line from Potomac Yard in Washington to Acca Yard in Richmond. Most of the material is under CSX, but we get a few earlier views of when the power was still clad in blue and gray. Running time: 2 hours - All color - Maps - Narration Copyright 2013 A&R Systems, Inc.
