Review of Red Warbonnets and Other Delights Santa Fe DVD

The Santa Fe Railway is the main star in this compilation of 8 & 16mm home movie films digitized, edited and brought to DVD. This is rare color film of steam and diesel action from the 1940s & 50s. You'll see lots of red warbonnet F-units, as many as six at a time, powering the ATSF's famous passenger trains. We will also get to see the Union Pacific, Southern Pacific and Denver & Rio Grande Western. A special treat is the first freight run of Santa Fe FT unit #100. Also on the DVD is a short publicity film by the Santa Fe to promote its passenger trains. Filmed in 1954, "Bobby takes a Train Trip" shows the Santa Fe Super Chief.
