Pay a visit to the Ozark region of Mid-America and the Kansas City Southern's Heavener Subdivision. Running from Pittsburg, Kansas to Heavener, Oklahoma, this is an interesting route for the train watcher. With a sawtooth profile, dramatic elevation changes, and a twisty-curvy railroad, the KCS crosses the Ozark's Springfield Plateau and the Boston Mountains.
The KCS offers an interesting variety of motive power including ES44AC's and SD70ACe's to GP40-3's plus run-through locomotives of BNSF and Union Pacific.

You'll also see several KCS depots along the way. There's lots to see on the Heavener Sub! An interesting look at this colorful Class I railroad!

Running time: 85 minutes

Disc includes chapter menus and narration on/off.

|
