Steam to Huntington: History was made as three steam engines headed for the NRHS Convention in Huntington, West Virginia. Pentrex crews captured the action as the Pere Marquette 1225 departed Owasso, Michigan with a freight bound for Lima, Ohio.
After Lima, Nickel Plate Railroad 765 led the two engines past their birthplace, double-heading on a freight train to Russell, Kentucky. You will ride along in the cab of the 765 as the two steam engines complete the last leg of their journey to Huntington.
The N&W 1218 is also beautifully photographed as it makes a ferry move from Cincinnati to Portsmouth, Ohio, and on to the yard at Kenova, West Virginia.
