We'll witness the "Oil Can Train" a monstrous oil train from Bakersfield that assaults Tehachapi with 10 diesels including mid-train helpers. What a sight at Caliente and the loop! You'll sample freight on Donner Pass in the Sierras, and see some SP on the former Rio Grande in Utah. There are pushers and mid-train helpers throughout the program. Its a nice way to remember the "Good old Days" of Southern Pacific, before the BNSF merger.
The DVD has some additional scenes that were shot in 1995, along the Shasta route, and includes |
