Early Diesels 3 was shot between 1986 and 2002 and contains a wealth of interesting video variety. First we see brief shots of U28B's on the Trains-Kentucky Trainsportation Railway(TTI) in Paris, KY. Next we see an Alco S2 on the Big South Fork Railway in Kentucky, followed by a scene of a Norfolk Southern Train in the 1980's with 3 GP30's. More quickie shots include Alcos RSD1 on the Tennessee Valley Railway Museum(downtown Chattanooga actually), and an old B&O GP40 and C&O poer at Prince, WV. We also see Marc Transit FP9, E9, and GP40 at Point of Rocks, Maryland, and Alcos on the Western Maryland Scenic. On the Potomac Eagle we see a B&O GP9, Alco FPA4 6793(ex VIA), and CSX FP7 118 on this scenic West Virginia railroad. There are additional scenes in New Brunswick, and Illinois with quick shots of different older power. In 2010 when the dvd was made we added some footage that includes 2 sets of F- units on the Ohio Central Railroad in excursion service. These units have since been so |
