Let this feature take you back in time, on what was once known as one of the most thrilling train rides on Earth. Regular passenger service is only a memory on most of the 3000-mile sojourn once covered by the Canadian Pacific's glistening silver "Canadian", all the way from Vancouver, British Columbia to Montreal, Quebec.

Here, we cover all the most spectacular vistas of the cross-continental journey, from on board and track side. Extensive coverage is given to the breath-taking traverse of the Canadian Rockies and the massive Selkirk Range, with the train hugging roaring rivers in deep canyon bottoms, skirting glacier covered peaks, and twisting through the famous spiral tunnels.
