Review of Santa Fe Bluebonnets and Kodachromes Heritage Series DVD

Diverging Clear Productions is proud to release the next DVD in The Heritage Series. This program features the Santa Fe in four locations in Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. The video footage was shot in 1988 and 1989, and locomotives in the black, red and yellow scheme of the recently aborted SPSF merger were abundant along with units in the Santa Fe blue and yellow scheme. In addition, vintage film and photos present a few scenes of the railroad as it was in the 1940's. This program features the railroad as it was just before the reintroduction of the Warbonnet paint scheme. The first location seen is Holliday Junction, west of Kansas City at Shawnee, Kansas. From there we head east to Marceline, Missouri. Then we continue east to see trains on Edelstein Hill west of Chillicothe, Illinois. The program finishes at Chillicothe, where we see freight trains pausing to change crews and Amtrak's Southwest Chief stopping for passengers. This program is a great

In your opinion, how was the narration level?	There was no narration. Just enough. Could have used more. A little too much. Way too much. Narration can be turned off.
Aside from the content of the DVD, how would you rate the image quality (sharpness, camera steadiness, etc)?	Poor. A little rough around the edges. Good. Excellent!
How would you rate the VALUE of this video?	Overpriced for the amount of enjoyment I got out of it. Seemed a little high, but not too bad. Fair. Good value. Excellent value!
Last question. Would you recommend this DVD to others?	Definitely not! Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter. Yes Definitely. A "Must Have"!
