Come along for a look at the excursion history of one of the Midwest's beloved steam stars: Frisco 4-8-2 #1522<br><br>This program covers her entire career from the initial restoration in the 1980s through the last time her whistle blew after her final excursion.<br><br>Produced with the assistance of St, Louis Steam Train Association members Don Morice and Don Wirth, we get a look behind the scenes of restoration work and what it takes to get the trains over the road. We follow the train with the steam crew, ride the train and climb in the cab.<br><br>Of course there are trackside scenes, from the first time the 1522 left the Museum of Transportation in 1988 to the end of her career in 2002. This is a look at a beloved locomotive like none before, on two discs and running nearly four hours! |
