Volume 1 of The Water Level Route follows this former New York Central mainline from Frontier Yard in buffalo, NY to Erie, PA. Locations visited include Frontier, RB, CP Draw, CP 2, Blasdell Jct, Angola, Silver Creek, Dunkirk, Brocton, Westfield, Ripley, North East, PA, Harbor Creek, and Erie. The variety does not stop with the colorful locomotive lashups on the TV, freight, mineral, and passenger trains seen, but includes weather ranging from beautiful sunshine to raging snowstorms. Also included is a look at Norfolk Southern's paralleling mainline, and new General Electric locomotives testing at their Erie, PA plant. 110 minutes, color with audio, DVD-R format.
