Review of China Adventure on DVD by Machines of Iron

A China Adventure takes you to the Forbidden City and a narrow gauge quarry line near Beijing. Then to the Anshan Steel Works with more than 20 active SY Class 2-8-2s, street trolleys and main line action with diesels, electrics and steam. Tour the Tonghua Line where JS Class 2-8-2s were putting in their last days. You will visit a steam locomotive backshop where SY Class locos are rebuilt. You will, then, visit Inner Mongolia and JingPeng Pass, the last great stronghold in the world where regular steam rules. Double-headed Class QJ 2-10-2s climb 2% grades over huge bridges through numerous tunnels on this provincial railway that opened in 1995.
