Review of The Legendary Canadian Combo - Three Programs DVD

 5 of 5 (1)
The Legendary Canadian had its inaugural run on April 24, 1955 and with the introduction of this classic stainless steel train, it has been in a class of its own. Even today these coaches are still in operation for VIA RAIL CANADA, using the same cars that were originally ordered for Canadian Pacific.

In 2011 Greg Scholl Video Productions purchased this DVD from Rail Innovations in Canada. The DVD consists of two main segments. First is a 20 minute show that was made by Canadian Pacific when the train first ran, and shows a trip across the country with sound and narration as a publicity film in 1955. You see everything from onboard to spectacular trackside views as it travels west toward Vancouver.

The second part of the dvd is "Working Number 1" which gives you a behind the scenes look at the people and efforts necessary to keep the "Canadian" going under VIA RAIL ownership. You will see the shops, in the station, trackside, and aboard the train, prior to and during much of No. 1'
