The Baltimore and Ohio's Keystone Sub had one of the toughest grades in North America. It was also very photogenic. Chester Kamuda spent the last ten years documenting the line from Cumberland, MD, through to Meyersdale, PA. He also caught trains at Hyndman, PA, with the tower still operational, at Fairhope and Mance, PA, and at Sand Patch. He filmed from inside Viaduct Junction tower in Cumberland and in Sand Patch Tower. He also covered the Western Maryland's Keystone and Salisbury Viaducts. Heavy traffic resulted in lots of action scenes as long freights struggled up the hill. One Hour and 58 minutes, maps and Narration. |
